Yoga for a Healthy Spine
Yoga is an effective tool for soothing back pain. This gentle practice is designed to ease pain, restore flexibility and strengthen the spine. Poses are carefully chosen and adapted to promote proper posture, stretch and strengthen muscles that support the spine, and increase hip and shoulder mobility.
Wednesdays, 9:15 to 10:15 AM MST
Restorative yoga is a therapeutic practice that soothes the nerves and calms the mind. It is a practice of “Being” rather than “Doing”. The use of blankets, bolsters and other props help the body to relax in a comfortable position. When the body is in this “effortless” state, it can completely surrender and be at ease. Through slow breathing, the nervous system relaxes, tension melts away and the mind becomes calm and rejuvenated.

Iyengar Yoga for Everybody
Yoga – the Iyengar way is for everybody. Learn the classical poses for correct alignment and movement of the body through self-awareness. With the use of props such as belts, blocks, and blankets, the poses are safely accessible to students at all levels. This class is suitable for new students as well as for experienced students returning to practice.
Saturdays, 9:00 to 10:15 AM MST
Yoga for Healthy Joints
Gentle Yoga for Arthritis and Osteoporosis. The focus is on mobility to enhance blood circulation, and the poses are customized to avoid pressure on the joints. The use of a chair and other suitable props provide support and stability. This class is suitable for students who have limited mobility and flexibility and is also ideal for seniors who like to remain active and healthy.

Yoga is a powerful complementary therapy for managing medical symptoms, regaining vitality and easing the stresses of daily life. Yoga is for everyone, but not everyone should do all kinds of yoga.
